The American CNN network announced the death of the famous American broadcaster Larry King, on Saturday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, at the age of 87, from Coronavirus or Covid-19.
Larry King dies from the Coronavirus
Larry King was being treated for the Coronavirus, at the Medical Center in Los Angeles, after being infected with it, weeks ago.
Its subsidiary Aura Media announced the news in a statement on Facebook, saying: “With deep sadness that Aura Media announces the death of its co-founder, host, and friend Larry King, who passed away this morning at the age of 87, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles “.
“For 63 years and across radio, television, and digital media platforms, Larry’s numerous interviews, awards, and worldwide fame are testimony to his unique and enduring talent as a broadcaster,” the statement continues.

The statement concluded by saying: “The date of the funeral will be announced at a later time in coordination with the king’s family, who are requesting privacy at this critical time.”
A long history of health troubles
Larry King has a long history of health crises, as Larry had survived a heart attack in 1987, beat prostate and lung cancer, and had a near-fatal stroke in May 2019, after undergoing heart surgery weeks before it.
Larry King, born on November 19, 1933, started working for CNN in 1985 and was presenting his popular show, Larry King Live until 2010.
