Beckman Coulter Life Sciences Biolector XT Microbioreactor
Microbial reactor technology is accelerating and increasing automation capabilities with the launch of the new BioLector XT Microbioreactor with the highest flexibility, enabling more applications in the BioLector series of tools from M2P-labs, part of the Beckman Coulter Life Sciences biotechnology business unit since November 2020.
Equipped with patented FlowerPlate plate technology,
the new BioLector XT Microbioreactor enables high-throughput stress checks, monitoring planting parameters, and optimizing feeding strategy. The BioLector XT Microbioreactor is ideally suited for microbial, fungal, and algal cultivation with real-time assessments of biomass, pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), and fluorescence for aerobic and anaerobes.

Common microbiological reactor features of BioLector include 48-well disposable Microtiter Plates (MTPs) with online measurements, pH control, and simultaneous feeding that are managed by our patented microfluidic technology. The new BioLector XT microcurrent includes more flexible combinations of feed profiles with customizable protocol settings.
Another powerful new feature is the ability to gas with up to 100% oxygen thanks to an innovative new cap that also allows for anaerobic feeding batches. The improved gas hood reduces gas consumption and provides a sealed airless chamber. The chamber can be used in conjunction with a microfluidic unit to design and test batch pH-regulated microbiome processes without the need to house the system in an anaerobic tent.
